27. What’s the best type of “accessory heat”?
Portable radient heaters are my favorite
I also use other heat sources in my home to stay warm and save money.
I’ll use space heaters and/or radiant heaters (my favorite) in areas where I spend the most time and close the doors to rooms that I don’t use. (continues below)
Instead of heating my entire house to 72 degrees, I heat my home at 65 and bring the room I’m in up to 70 degrees.
I prefer radiant heaters over space heaters. Radiant heaters offer a more targeted heat source that doesn’t heat the air, but actually the object in front of it.
CAUTION any type of portable heater, space or radiant can cause a fire hazard so be careful.
